How It Works and Use Considerations
PAC is an inorganic polymer coagulant. After addition to water, hydrolyzed aluminium species help destabilize suspended and colloidal particles so they can aggregate into removable flocs. Final grade and dosage should be confirmed by raw-water evaluation and jar testing.
Applications
- Drinking-water clarification, subject to applicable grade and local requirements.
- Industrial wastewater coagulation and clarification.
- Municipal sewage and sludge-treatment processes.
- Process-water pretreatment and turbidity reduction.
How to Select the Right Grade
Compare Al₂O₃ content, basicity, insoluble matter, product form and the treated-water requirement. Drinking-water and industrial grades are not automatically interchangeable; confirm the intended use and applicable local requirements before ordering.
Packaging, Documents and Quotation
Packaging is shown in the table above and is confirmed according to product form, order quantity, transport requirements and destination. TDS, MSDS/SDS and batch COA can be coordinated subject to order conditions. Include product name, target specification, application, quantity, packaging preference and destination port in the inquiry.
PAC Grade Comparison and Jar-Test Inputs
PAC grades with similar product names can perform differently because Al₂O₃ content, basicity, insoluble matter and product form affect coagulation. Grade selection should start with the source water and treatment objective, then be confirmed by jar testing.
Key Purchasing Parameters
- Provide turbidity, pH, alkalinity, temperature and the main contaminants to be removed.
- Compare Al₂O₃, basicity, insoluble matter, iron and product color across candidate grades.
- Record dose, rapid-mix conditions, floc formation, settling and treated-water residuals.
- Confirm whether a drinking-water-compliant grade or an industrial wastewater grade is required.
Related Products and Category
Compare polyferric sulfate (PFS), polyacrylamide (PAM) flocculant, water treatment chemicals as part of the wider process review; these products should not be treated as direct substitutes without application testing.
Information to Include in an Inquiry
